| Michelle
began playing Bridge in 1971 gaining international recognition within
six years. Since then she has frequently represented Great Britain and
England winning gold medals in the World Championships (1987), European
Ladies (1979 & 2001) and Common Market Championships (1977). Between
1997 and 1999 she realised a life time ambition when, with partner John
Holland, she was selected to represent England in the Open Team against
France,Wales and Scotland. This year, in Maastricht, she represented England
at the World Olympiad. Michelle is an author and regular contributor to
national Bridge journals.
Michelle's ability, experience, pleasant personality and warm sense of humour are ideally suited to teaching Bridge to those keen to improve their game. She is keen to promote Bridge and encourage others to play this fascinating game. |

| John is an experienced
international widely recognised as one of the finest players in the
NW. He plays and teaches Bridge professionally. John's successes in
national competitions are too numerous to list. The most notable include
representing England in the home international Camrose competition,
an unprecedented six wins in the national mixed teams event and, most
recently, victory in England's most prestigious competition- Crockford's
Cup.
John teaches the more experienced pupils. In his quiet thoughtful way he explains his ideas clearly and lucidly with warm humour and charm. |
John Holland |
| Kevin is a former Headteacher who began playing Bridge in 1961. He has played in various London and Manchester clubs as well as teaching beginners in evening classes. Kevin is a county player who has enjoyed success in domestic and local tournaments. He is active in the Manchester County Bridge Association. Like Michelle, Kevin is keen to teach Bridge to those wishing to play the world's most popular card game. He believes the game should be fun. This clearly shows through in his lessons. |
